We take the security of your Online Banking experience seriously, which is why our Mobile Web Banking and Mobile Banking Apps use the same level of security as Online Banking. As with Online Banking, you’ll also have to authenticate your device with an additional security code or phone call with your first use or any time you delete your cookies. For additional privacy in SMS Banking, your full account numbers are never transmitted via text message. ForBill Pay users, none of our Mobile Banking products currently allow the creation of new payees: while you can send money to existing payees using a mobile product, you have to use Online Banking to create a new payee.

We also recommend some additional security measures for mobile devices, whether or not you use our mobile products or not. Setting a password or other lock on your phone, keeping your device’s software up to date, and using a trusted security product are all steps you can take to protect your privacy and the security of your data. Our partners at the American Bankers Association have prepared a list of useful tips for protecting your mobile device.

While First National Bank provides these services free of charge to our customers, your mobile carrier may charge you for the use of network services. For SMS Banking, standard text messaging charges of your carrier will apply. For Mobile Web Banking and Mobile Banking Apps, your carrier may assess a fee based upon your mobile data plan. For questions regarding these fees, please consult your mobile service provider.
